Speed to lead
Speed to lead is how quickly a business responds to a new inbound lead. Faster is better: studies of response times have repeatedly found that contacting a lead within the first few minutes sharply improves the odds of connecting and converting.
The problem is that no human team can staff every channel around the clock, so leads that arrive at night, on weekends, or during a busy stretch often go cold before anyone replies. Even a delay of an hour can mean reaching a lead who has already moved on to a competitor who answered first.
AI agents solve speed to lead structurally by responding in seconds on every channel, at any hour, and qualifying and booking while the lead's intent is highest.
